Geoinformatics Data Acquisition (UAS), Processing, Quality Assessment and Geological Prospects

Résumé:

The multi-temporal high resolution spatial database provides an indispensable dataset for geological study and morphologic evolutions analysis. However, due to its involvement in military and national security issues, the technology regarding to geomorphologic data acquisition has become a mysterious and arduous project in the traditional surveying and mapping field. As a result, geoinformatic datasets are difficult to obtain or inaccessible. In order to solve the problems, we try to independently develop related fields, including airborne LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) mapping, aerial photogrammetry, UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System, UAV, or drone) photogrammetry, oblique photogrammetry, etc. to further realize the use of UAV LiDAR and other technologies to establish fields of topographic mapping and remote sensing, so as to independently obtain relevant spatial databases to facilitate terrain construction, disaster prevention and reduction, and other purposes. Through the planning and process of our research career, we first established spatial data acquisition technology and constructed high-precision terrain data of the study area, which can be used for morphotectonic analysis, natural hazard monitoring, etc. This talk attempts to describe the process of overcoming related issues along the way, and the progress of each study. It also uses different research cases to provide examples and verification, and indirectly points out the development process and data acquisition process of the geoinformatic database.
