Research
Interest
After having worked
in the Chemical Science Department of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)
(1988-1999), I switched to environmental history, looking for the
environmental impact of increasing industrialization and urbanization in
France, 19th and 20th century. The aim of my work is to analyse
how environmental problems were detected and managed by several actors:
State, experts, public opinion. In the UMR 7619 of the CNRS, I work in the
PIREN Seine program, which deals with water quality related to the anthropisation of the Seine river basin.
